Centre for International and Professional Education (CIPE)
The Centre for International and Professional Education within the School of Nursing
and Midwifery has the responsibility to bring together the international interests
of the school as well as the professional education and consultancy aspects of the
schools operations. As a result, the centre now oversees for international students
both onshore and offshore, for the initiation and development of new courses and
programs particularly in offshore locations, for the marketing and management of
the Registration Bridging Course which leads to registration with the Nurses Board
of Western Australia and for the ongoing management of scholarships, study abroad
trips, international student exchange and consultancies within the school.
Recently
the centre has established a bureau service for
the Faculty International Education Services (FIES) coordination. This position
is responsible for the development and monitoring, in accordance with University
policy, all activities with regard to offshore education programs within
the Division of Health Sciences.
